Yaheya and Shuja’s project, “BP Mate”, is one of 9 projects to be selected for Tay Health Tech’s Grand Challenges Award, a fund from EPSRC which supports the translation of research into new health and care technologies closer to Tayside.
Through this funding, we conducted focus groups with a variety of stakeholders to deepen our understanding of the needs of clinicians and patients for blood pressure monitoring. We also conducted a 100-participant validation and data collection study in order to improve the robustness of our device.
This funding allowed for crucial technological development and validation which ultimately led to the formation of Radana.
