The team at Radana has published an extensive review of the state of the art of cuffless blood pressure monitoring. We provide a structured perspective on the transition from cuff-based measurements toward continuous, contactless and intelligent sensing approaches, examining radar, optical, wearable and multimodal sensing systems alongside advances in signal processing and machine learning.
Importantly, the paper goes beyond technology surveying. We critically discuss the core scientific and translational challenges still facing the field, including physiological variability and environmental interference.
At Radana, we hope to build on this technology and navigate these challenges, making this technology a reality that can provide easier patient monitoring, solving problems for clinicians, patients, and healthcare in general.
